My newspaper called Jack Kevorkian today
It’s on the downslide
getting
thin
needing help
from other papers
losing its
inde
pen
dence
and a tad crankier
lately
Jack
did the right thing
Put it out of its misery
Weird thing —
No one noticed

Well, as a former newspaper journalist, this poem struck a nerve. Particularly the last line. Nice use of Dr. K.
Kevin
Thanks, Kevin.
Dr. K is close to my heart; my dad grew up with him (Armenian buddies from Pontiac, MI). And I’ve had strong feeling about the demise of the newspaper for years. It seemed like a match.
