This is my second year using pbwiki.com and they've improved their "support" page immensely. I'd suggest signing up for a free pbwiki educator account on this website --- http://pbwiki.com/academic.wiki (at the bottom of the page)--- watch some of their tutorial videos, and play with it yourself before using it with your students.
